Four and Six Panel Oak Fire Doors

Every door is built from an oak veneer over a dense, fire-resisting engineered core and tested as a complete door, so the panelled face you see is backed by the construction that actually holds back fire. The doors come from established fire-door manufacturers, so their ratings are certified and reliable.
Panel styles, simple to ornate
A panelled fire door can be as plain or as decorative as the room calls for. At the simpler end, shaker and flat panels give clean, square lines that sit well in a modern or transitional interior, while at the more ornate end raised and moulded panels bring the depth and shadow of a traditional period door. The four and six panel layouts are the most common and describe how many panels are set into the door, so you can match both the number of panels and the level of detail to the age and style of your home.

How they are built
A panelled fire door earns its rating through its core rather than the panels themselves. Each door pairs a dense, fire-resisting engineered core with an oak-veneered face and matching oak lippings, tested together as a complete door to the FD30 standard for up to 30 minutes of protection, which covers most homes. One or two designs are also available as FD60 for up to 60 minutes, and where that greater protection is specified you will find those doors grouped in our FD60 fire doors.
Finishes
Choose prefinished oak fire doors that arrive sealed and ready to hang for a quick, even finish, or unfinished oak fire doors if you would rather oil or wax the oak to match existing joinery, which is often the case in a period home. Complete the fire door
A panelled fire door only performs as part of a fitted set, so give it the right fittings. Hang it on the correct fire door hinges, seal the leaf with the intumescent strips and smoke seals from our strips and seals range, and set it into a suitable fire door frame or lining. Fitted together and to the manufacturer's instructions, these are what let the door hold its rating in a fire.
