Browse Internal Oak Doors by Type

Type is about how a door is built and how it works, rather than the era or look it belongs to. The same solid oak can become a panelled door, a glazed door that borrows light from the next room, or a pair of French doors that open a room right up. Panelled doors

Panelled doors are the most familiar internal door, built from solid stiles and rails around one or more recessed panels, in solid oak or oak veneer over a core. The panel count sets the proportions, so we group them by layout: four panel doors are the classic choice and the largest range, with two panel and five panel layouts for a plainer or a more traditional look. Many panelled designs also come as glazed and fire-rated versions of the same door.

Glazed doors

Glazed doors set one or more panes into the door so light can pass between rooms, which suits hallways, kitchens and any space that can feel dark. Our glazed oak internal doors come with clear, frosted or bevelled toughened safety glass, from a single light through to full multi-pane faces, across period, cottage and contemporary designs. Choose clear glass where you want an open feel and frosted where a room needs a little privacy.

Flush doors

Flush doors have a smooth, flat face with no panels or mouldings, giving a clean, understated look that works well in modern interiors and busy through-routes. Our oak flush doors are faced in oak veneer over an engineered core for a stable, even surface, and come unglazed or with a vision panel, and as fire-rated versions where they are needed.

French and double doors

French and double doors are hung as a matched pair that meet in the middle, ideal for wide openings and for linking two rooms or a room and a garden room. French doors are the glazed pair, letting light flow through, while double doors cover the solid and panelled pairs. Both make a generous divider you can open right up or close off when you want the rooms apart.

Bi-fold doors

Bi-fold doors are made of panels hinged together that concertina back to one side, so they take up very little room when open. Our oak bi-fold doors suit wardrobes, storage and room dividers where a standard swing door would get in the way, and carry the same oak faces as the rest of the range.

Fire doors

Fire doors are built with a denser core that holds back fire and smoke for a set period, and are required in certain rooms and layouts under building regulations. Our oak fire doors are available in FD30 and FD60 ratings across many of the same panelled, glazed and flush designs, so you can keep a consistent look through the house while meeting the rules where they apply.
