Unit price perOak Doors in a Light, Blonde Tone
A light oak door brings a pale, blonde tone to a room, the kind that keeps a space feeling bright, open and contemporary. Light oak is also sold as blonde oak, as the two names describe the same pale, even colour. It is the oak to choose when you want the look of oak in a lighter colour than a traditional door, so it sits well in a modern home. Every door in this range is prefinished oak, an oak veneer over an engineered core rather than solid oak. The veneer gives a genuine oak face, and the core keeps the leaf flat and straight in a centrally heated room.
- A pale, even blonde tone that keeps a room bright and contemporary
- Also sold as blonde oak, the same pale colour under another name
- A natural oak veneer face on an engineered core that stays flat
- Supplied prefinished, in contemporary, Mexicano, flush and glazed designs
A pale, modern look
Light oak suits a modern home, where a paler door sits well against white or grey walls and helps a room feel larger and brighter. The tone is even and consistent across the range, without the knots and heavy grain of a character grade door, so it reads as clean and calm. You will find it in clean contemporary designs, in Mexicano doors with their machined grooves, in flush faces, and in glazed doors that pass light between rooms. It works equally well in a new build and in an older home being brought up to date.
Prefinished and ready to hang
These doors are supplied prefinished, with the oak sealed at the factory, so there is no oiling to do before they go up. That makes them one of the quicker options to fit, although any cut-outs you make for hinges and a latch should be sealed with a hardwax oil from our internal door treatments range as you fit them. If you would rather apply your own finish, our unfinished oak doors leave that to you, and you can see the wider prefinished range in other tones and styles.
Light oak and the other oak characters
Light oak is one of the ways we group our doors by the character of the oak itself. Where light oak keeps things pale and even, our rustic oak doors are full of knots and movement. Our American white oak doors sit in between, with a clean, straight grain and a mid tone. Our European oak doors carry a warmer, more figured grain, and our Grade A solid oak doors are cut from the top selection grade. You can compare the tones and finishes on our internal doors by material and finish page, and complete the look with contemporary door hardware.

Yes. They are supplied prefinished, with the oak sealed at the factory, so there is no oil to apply before they go up. Any cut-outs you make for hinges and a latch should still be sealed as you fit the door.
