Description

The Arnhem Prefinished Oak 2 Panel brings a classic two-panel look, framed by decorative beading, together with 30 minutes of fire protection when it is correctly installed. It suits period and traditional interiors where you want warmth and detail on a fire door.

Prefinished Oak FD30 Fire Door with a Two Panel Design

The Arnhem is a two-panel door, with two differently sized panels picked out by decorative beading for a classic, characterful face. The oak veneer is prefinished and ready to hang, so the grain is already sealed and enhanced. It is made by LPD, one of the established fire-door manufacturers we range, and works well in traditional homes where you want a consistent oak look across standard and fire door openings.

An oak veneer over a fire-resisting core

This is an oak-veneered fire door, not solid oak. A solid, fire-resisting core sits behind an oak veneer face and oak lippings: the core delivers the fire performance and the veneer gives the warm oak look. As oak is a natural material, expect some variation in grain and tone from door to door.

FD30 fire protection as part of a fitted set

The Arnhem is rated FD30, giving up to 30 minutes of fire resistance when tested and correctly installed. A fire door only performs as a complete fitted set, so pair it with compatible fire-rated frames and linings, intumescent seals and fire-rated hinges, and hang it on three hinges as fire doors require. Finishing and care

As a prefinished door the faces are sealed and ready to hang, but hinge, latch and handle cut-outs, along with any trimmed edges, expose bare oak that needs resealing as you fit. We recommend a hardwax oil from our Treatex or Osmo ranges, and our internal door treatments guide explains what to use.

Please note that this product is prefinished. When installing door fittings and/or trimming the door size, be sure to treat newly exposed surfaces with a Hardwax oil to reseal those areas. The doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike; in addition to the natural qualities of the wood, this will also contribute to the door's appearance. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for door orders and £25 for timber only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery page for more information.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
