Product Details

Description

The Belize Unfinished Oak 5 Panel brings a bold five-panel geometric design together with 60 minutes of fire protection when it is correctly installed. Supplied unfinished, it is ready to seal in the finish of your choice.

Unfinished Oak FD60 Fire Door with a Five Panel Design

The Belize has five vertical panels for a clean, geometric face with a modern twist on a traditional look. The oak veneer is supplied unfinished, so you can choose how it is sealed. It is made by LPD, one of the established fire-door manufacturers we range, and is built on a denser 54mm core for 60-minute performance.

An oak veneer over a fire-resisting core

This is an oak-veneered fire door, not solid oak. A solid, fire-resisting core sits behind an oak veneer face and oak lippings: the core delivers the fire performance and the veneer gives the warm oak look. As oak is a natural material, expect some variation in grain and tone from door to door.

FD60 fire protection as part of a fitted set

The Belize is rated FD60, giving up to 60 minutes of fire resistance when tested and correctly installed. FD60 is specified where a higher level of protection is needed, and the leaf is heavier on a denser 54mm core. A fire door only performs as a complete fitted set, so pair it with a matched FD60 doorset: compatible fire-rated frames and linings, intumescent seals and fire-rated hinges, hung on three hinges as fire doors require.

Finishing and care

This door is supplied unfinished, so before use every face and edge, including the top and bottom, must be sealed and then refreshed periodically. We recommend a hardwax oil from our Treatex or Osmo ranges, and our internal door treatments guide explains what to use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Belize Unfinished Oak FD60 Fire Door fire rated?
Yes. It is listed as FD60, giving up to 60 minutes of fire resistance. FD60 is specified where a higher level of protection is needed. It must be fitted with a matched FD60 doorset, including compatible frames, linings, seals and hardware, so the complete installation performs as intended.
Does the Belize FD60 need finishing before use?
Yes. It is supplied unfinished, so seal every face and edge, including the top and bottom, before use, then refresh periodically. A suitable hardwax oil is recommended.
Why is the Belize FD60 thicker than an FD30 door?
It is built on a denser 54mm core to achieve 60 minutes of fire resistance, compared with 44mm for an FD30 door. This makes the leaf heavier, so hang it on three hinges.
What warranty does the Belize Unfinished Oak FD60 Fire Door come with?
This product is listed with a 10 year warranty. To keep the warranty valid, keep your proof of purchase, fit and use the product for its intended application, and follow the supplier and manufacturer guidance for installation, care and any permitted trimming or alterations.
