Description

The Universal Frosted Glass Oak Sidelight lets you build a wider, brighter entrance alongside your chosen external door, with a frosted double-glazed panel and raised moulding to one side, in a warm American white oak face.

About the Sidelight

A tall frosted double-glazed panel with raised moulding to one side, this universal sidelight sits beside a single door, or between a pair, to widen the opening and bring extra daylight to the hall while keeping privacy. It is a fixed panel rather than an opening door, and its universal design pairs with most of our external door styles.

Engineered oak construction

The sidelight is an American white oak veneer over a solid engineered core, dowel jointed for strength. The engineered core keeps it stable through the seasons and resists the warping and twisting solid timber can suffer on an exposed elevation, while the oak face keeps genuine oak character. It is supplied sanded but unfinished, ready to seal in your chosen finish, and can be trimmed to fit the opening.

Glazing

The sidelight is supplied pre-glazed, with its factory frosted double-glazed unit already fitted, so there is no separate glazing to arrange. The frosted sealed unit brings daylight to the entrance while keeping privacy.

Finishing & Care

As it is supplied unfinished, protect every face and edge of the sidelight with a treatment made for external use before it is fitted; we recommend the Impranol range for external doors.

Like our external doors, this sidelight must be treated before being fitted, retreated every six months and kept dry at all times through the use of a canopy or similar. For full guidelines, please visit our External Door Protection Page.

Because it’s important that our products get to you in perfect condition and on time, we only work with trusted, reliable delivery companies who have an excellent reputation. To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
