Description

The Suffolk Cottage Style Prefinished Oak Glazed Door pairs the traditional vertical-board face with a toughened safety-glass panel, sharing daylight between rooms with cottage charm. Factory finished in American white oak veneer and ready to hang, it is part of our Suffolk oak door range.

Prefinished Cottage Oak Glazing

A toughened safety-glass panel with frosted line detail brightens the door while the vertical boarding keeps its rustic, cottage character. It suits hallways and kitchens that want a little more daylight without losing character.

Oak Veneer over an Engineered Core

Behind the oak veneer sits an engineered solid core that keeps the door flat and stable and gives it a reassuring weight. It coordinates with the wider Suffolk and oak veneer door ranges.

Glazing

The glazed panel is supplied already fitted with toughened safety glass, so there is no separate glazing to arrange. The frosted line detail softens the view between rooms while still carrying light.

Sizes

The door is stocked in four standard widths, all 1981mm tall and 35mm thick. A trimming allowance of up to 9mm from each edge helps you fit it neatly into your frame.

Finishing and Care

The door is factory finished and ready to hang. If you trim an edge or fit hardware, reseal the freshly exposed surfaces with a matching hardwax oil to keep the finish consistent and protected. Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals.

Please note that this product is prefinished. When installing door fittings and/or trimming the door size, be sure to treat newly exposed surfaces with a hardwax oil to reseal those areas. The doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike; in addition to the natural qualities of the wood, this will also contribute to the door's appearance. All hinges, handles, levers, and door accessories are for illustration purposes only and sold separately.

Door frames and linings are not included unless they are specifically listed in the product details. Compatible frames or linings should be ordered separately where required.

Delivery Information

Because it’s important that our products get to you in perfect condition and on time, we only work with trusted, reliable delivery companies who have an excellent reputation. To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

Skirting, Architraves, Linings, Window boards and Furniture - £25.00

*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for door orders and £25 for timber only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery page for more information.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
