Solid Oak Rustic Bi Fold 3 Ledge Bead and Butt Cottage Door
If you’re looking for elegance and beauty, look no further than the Solid Oak Rustic Bi-Fold 3 Ledge Bead and Butt Cottage Door. These gorgeous solid oak bi-fold doors are just one of the many variations of our rustic 3-ledged oak doors. Cut evenly down the middle, this solid oak door is perfect for your period home. This door is constructed with a bead and butt profile and comes available in a range of sizes and finishes. Because this internal door is produced with rustic-grade timber, you can expect some imperfections here and there, the likes of which add to the overall beauty and character of the door. As with any natural product, there are a range of imperfections that can sometimes be found in the oak, including rustic characteristics such as Knots and Splits.
Whilst we know that people looking for rustic wood doors prefer the imperfections to give a uniqueness to their doors, we do the hard work for you by filling the deeper knots and sanding out some of the rougher patches. This means that less preparation is required prior to you using our recommended hardwax oil before hanging, whilst leaving your rustic internal doors with enough personality to impress and highlight the sought-after, authentic look. A certain degree of knots and splits are intentionally chosen for this product to ensure you’re getting the characteristics you’d expect from a rustic wood product.
We suggest you use 3 H hinges to attach the two leaves, which can be found Here. These oak internal doors are manufactured to a standard 40mm thickness. Customers can choose the door widths from a 610mm, 686mm, 762mm, and 838mm. If a non-standard size is needed, it isn't a problem as we manufacture these doors; it is possible for us to make oak doors to non-standard sizes - please see our Made to Measure page. Made to Measure Available! Click Here to find out more.
Our Solid Oak Rustic 3 Ledged Bead and Butt Cottage Doors are supplied pre-sanded and unfinished to provide you with the opportunity to give it your desired look, the look that best matches the overall design of your house. If you prefer, however, you can let us do the hard work through using our in-house oiling service and choose a prefinished option.
These doors are manufactured with specially kiln-dried rustic oak that has a low moisture content of 6-10%. Nail holes are also visible within this door (these can be filled by the end user if preferred). The individual oak panels are finished in a Bead & Butt profile.
