Description

This prefinished oak veneer door frame is an FD30 fire-rated frame, an easy way to hang a new internal fire door and match it to your oak veneer doors. It is supplied with the intumescent seal it needs and with removable stops to suit different door thicknesses.

About the oak fire door frame

The frame has an oak veneer over a softwood core, so it coordinates with our internal oak veneer doors while meeting the requirements of a fire-rated frame. A fire door only performs to its rating as part of a complete, fitted set, so the frame is an important part of the assembly along with the door, its fire-rated hinges and intumescent strips and seals. Removable door stops let you use it with doors of different thicknesses.

Fire testing

The frame is fire tested to BS EN 1634-1: 2008 and BS 476-22: 1987, with a durability rating of 1 million cycles. It has pre-cut grooves sized for the included 15 x 4mm intumescent seal, which expands in a fire to close the gap between door and frame and help hold back smoke.

Please note that this product is prefinished. When installing door fittings and/or trimming the door size, be sure to treat newly exposed surfaces with a Hardwax oil to reseal those areas. The doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike; in addition to the natural qualities of the wood, this will also contribute to the door’s appearance. To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for door orders and £25 for timber only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery page for more information.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
