Belize Unfinished Oak FD30 Fire Internal Door

The Belize Unfinished Oak FD30 Fire Internal Door sets five slim panels vertically down the face, a clean, geometric contemporary design that has become a favourite in modern homes while still sitting comfortably in more traditional rooms. It is one of our modern oak internal doors, rated FD30 for up to 30 minutes of fire resistance, and it arrives unfinished, ready for you to treat and hang. It suits bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways and living spaces.

Like every genuine fire door, the Belize is not solid oak. It is built around a solid engineered core, faced with oak veneer and edged with 10mm oak lippings: the core gives the door its strength, stability and fire performance, while the oak face brings natural grain and warmth. Being a natural veneer, no two doors look exactly alike, and it sits neatly against oak skirting and architrave in a matching tone.

The Belize performs to its FD30 rating only as part of a complete, fitted fire-door set, so it needs to hang in a fire-rated frame on the correct fire-rated hinges, with intumescent strips and smoke seals around the leaf. Hang it on three hinges as a minimum, and source the matched fire set alongside the ironmongery from our door handles and hardware. FD30 suits most homes; where 60 minutes is needed, an FD60 door on a denser 54mm core is the step up.

Unlike a standard internal door, this FD30 Belize has no trimming allowance. The fire-rated construction means it must be fitted at its supplied size, so order the size that matches your opening rather than planning to cut it down. It comes in a range of imperial and metric widths to suit standard openings.

The Belize is supplied unfinished, so it needs treating before it goes into service. Seal every face and edge, including the top and bottom, before or as you hang it, then keep the finish topped up, paying particular attention to the hinge, latch and handle cut-outs, which expose fresh oak. The doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike; in addition to the natural qualities of the wood, this will also contribute to the door’s appearance. What finish would you recommend on this door?

We recommend sealing every face and edge, including the top and bottom, with a suitable hardwax oil before or as the door is fitted, then refreshing it periodically. Most paints, stains and standard varnishes are unsuitable and can void the warranty.

Is this door fire-rated?

Yes. It is rated FD30 for up to 30 minutes of fire resistance. It only performs to that rating as part of a complete fitted set, so use a fire-rated frame or lining, fire-rated hinges and intumescent strips and smoke seals.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
