Aria Oak Laminated Internal Fire Door

The Aria fire door brings the fluted, mid-century look of the Aria range to a doorway that needs a fire rating. Its face carries the same full-length vertical grooves with fine black-painted detailing, and rather than a wood veneer it uses a hard-wearing oak-effect laminate, so it matches the standard Aria across a home where some openings need protection and others do not. It belongs with our modern oak internal doors.

The oak-effect laminate is applied over a dense solid fire core, which is what gives the door its rating and also makes it feel substantial and quiet on the hinge. At 44mm thick it is a little deeper than a standard internal door, and it pairs with oak skirting and architrave in a matching tone.

As an FD30 door it is designed to be hung as a complete fire set rather than on its own: fitted into a fire-rated frame or lining, hung on fire-rated hinges, and fitted with an intumescent strip that expands in heat, usually alongside a cold smoke seal. Set up this way the door is built to resist the spread of fire and smoke for around 30 minutes. It comes prefinished and ready to hang, with a trimming allowance and a 15 year manufacturer's guarantee.

It hangs on suitable fire-rated hinges and takes a lever handle, so you can match compatible ironmongery from our door handles and hardware.

The laminate face needs no finishing and wipes clean, though any edge trimmed within the allowance should be resealed. Our door treatments cover a suitable hardwax oil for trimmed edges, and the maintenance guide explains keeping it in good order.

Please note that this product is prefinished. When installing door fittings and/or trimming the door size, be sure to treat newly exposed surfaces with a Hardwax oil to reseal those areas. The doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike; in addition to the natural qualities of the wood, this will also contribute to the door’s appearance. All hinges, handles, levers, and door accessories are for illustration purposes only and sold separately.

Is this door suitable for bathrooms or high-moisture areas?

It may be used in these areas only if the room is well ventilated and the door is fully protected on all edges before fitting. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or standing water.

How do I maintain this door?

Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or excess moisture. For ongoing protection, we recommend a suitable hardwax oil; most paints, stains and standard varnishes are unsuitable and their use will most likely void the warranty.

Is this door available in different sizes?

Available sizes are shown in the product options. Please check the listed sizes carefully before ordering, as availability can vary by product.

Delivery Information

Because it’s important that our products get to you in perfect condition and on time, we only work with trusted, reliable delivery companies who have an excellent reputation. To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for door orders and £25 for timber only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery page for more information.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
