Mexicano Offset Clear Glazed Prefinished Oak Door

The Mexicano Offset Clear Glazed Prefinished Oak Door is a modern take on the classic Mexicano, with an offset clear glazed panel and square-cut vertical grooves, for rooms that want a flood of natural light.

It bridges traditional oak and modern design, working well in living spaces, kitchens and home offices. It is faced with an oak veneer over an engineered core and arrives prefinished, ready to hang.

As it is prefinished it is ready to install; seal any trimmed edge or cut-out with a suitable hardwax oil such as Treatex or Osmo, keeping oil off the glass.

Finish the look with door handles, knobs and latches, and quality hinges. To carry the oak through, we also stock oak architraves and frames and linings.

Please note that this product is prefinished. When installing door fittings and/or trimming the door size, be sure to treat newly exposed surfaces with a Hardwax oil to reseal those areas. The doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike; in addition to the natural qualities of the wood, this will also contribute to the door’s appearance. All hinges, handles, levers, and door accessories are for illustration purposes only and sold separately.

Is this door suitable for bathrooms or high-moisture areas?

It may be used in these areas only if the room is well ventilated and the door is fully protected on all edges before fitting. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or standing water.

What finish would you recommend on this door?

We recommend using a suitable hardwax oil to protect the door against the elements and everyday use. Most paints, stains and standard varnishes are unsuitable for this purpose and their use will most likely void the warranty.

Does this door come with hardware included?

Hardware is not included unless it is specifically listed in the product details. Handles, hinges, latches and other ironmongery should be ordered separately where required.

What warranty does the Mexicano Offset Clear Glazed Prefinished Oak Door come with?

This product is listed with a 10 year warranty. To keep the warranty valid, keep your proof of purchase, fit and use the product for its intended application, and follow the supplier and manufacturer guidance for installation, care and any permitted trimming or alterations.

Delivery Information

Because it’s important that our products get to you in perfect condition and on time, we only work with trusted, reliable delivery companies who have an excellent reputation. To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

Standard Delivery Rates

Doors - £40.00* (this is per order, not per door)
Ironmongery and Oils - £15.00
Skirting, Architraves, Linings, Window boards and Furniture - £25.00

*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for door orders and £25 for timber only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery page for more information.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
