UK Oak Doors Take Part in 'Plant-for-the-Planet'

As part of our ongoing drive to provide free trees for schools, we recently donated 45 oak saplings to Andover Trees United; a wonderful initiative designed to engage young people with their local community and environment, that we're thrilled to be able to support. As well as donating the trees, we sent two members of our team to help plant the trees as part of the 'Plant-for-the-Planet' Climate Justice Conference on the 28th February. Plant-for-the-Planet aims to reduce CO2 emissions to zero by 2050, by inspiring young people to plant trees 'on a monumental scale'. They day was attended by 55 students from local schools, as well as Dr Jane Goodall, DBE, Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace. Not only did we and the children get to be involved in improving the local environment with a mass tree planting, but the children were taught about global warming, climate justice, and how they themselves can take action.
