How Does Your Garden Grow – Inside?

To bring a more feminine touch to my blog, I asked the lovely
Jo Ridout from A Passion for Homes to share some of her floral design favourites. Take it away Jo! With summer slipping away into autumn soon, it feels like the best garden blooms of the year are having their last burst of colour. So, how about bringing your garden flowers and flora into your home year round? Blooming marvellous! Sowing and growing a floral inspired interior design can be a bit daunting. Is it too feminine? Can it be contemporary? What can be mixed effectively with floral patterns? To begin with, consider what atmosphere and mood you want to create in the room. Are you aiming for bold and bright, calm and contemporary or vintage and country? Look at the light, space and function of the room, and how the design will flow with the remaining rooms of your home. These initial considerations will help you to decide what type of internal garden you want to grow! Impact floral Quick, easy, and the basis of the room’s interior colours, accents and textures, can be a feature wall.
