Mexicana Ely Prefinished Internal Oak 5L Glazed Door

The Mexicana Ely Prefinished 5L Glazed Door takes the Ely and adds five geometric toughened glass panels, breaking up the usual vertical line for a bold, contemporary look that still lets plenty of light between rooms. It belongs with our oak Mexicano doors, so the wider Ely range can run through the home. The face is crown-cut American white oak veneer over a solid core, which helps resist moisture and warping.

It stands 1981mm high in widths from 610mm to 838mm at 35mm thick, each with a 16mm trimming allowance on every edge. The oak veneer is FSC certified and the door carries Deanta's 10 year manufacturer's warranty. In an oak scheme it pairs naturally with matching oak skirting and architrave in the same tone.

The Ely hangs on standard hinges and takes a lever handle, so you can match the ironmongery from our door handles and hardware. The five toughened panels work across modern, minimalist and more traditional interiors.

Being prefinished, the faces arrive sealed and ready to use, though any cut-out or trimmed edge still needs sealing as you fit, kept off the glass. A suitable hardwax oil is all it needs; our door treatments cover what to use, and the maintenance guide explains keeping it topped up.

Please note that this product is prefinished. When installing door fittings and/or trimming the door size, be sure to treat newly exposed surfaces with a Hardwax oil to reseal those areas. The doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike; in addition to the natural qualities of the wood, this will also contribute to the door’s appearance. All hinges, handles, levers, and door accessories are for illustration purposes only and sold separately.

It may be used in these areas only if the room is well ventilated and the door is fully protected on all edges before fitting. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or standing water.

How do I maintain this door?

Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or excess moisture. For ongoing protection, we recommend a suitable hardwax oil; most paints, stains and standard varnishes are unsuitable and their use will most likely void the warranty.

Can I see how this door looks in a real home setting?

Because it’s important that our products get to you in perfect condition and on time, we only work with trusted, reliable delivery companies who have an excellent reputation. To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for door orders and £25 for timber only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery page for more information.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
