Emral Prefinished Oak Clear Glazed Fire Door

The Emral is a contemporary glazed oak door with a fire rating, so it brings daylight between rooms without giving up on protection. Its clear glazed panel sits within a ladder-style arrangement of horizontal lines, a clean modern look that fits among our modern oak internal doors and works just as well in a busy hallway or a loft conversion where a rating is needed.

It is built as an oak veneer over a dense solid fire core rather than solid oak, which is what carries the rating and also makes the door feel substantial and quiet to use. The face is prefinished and ready to hang, and it pairs with oak skirting and architrave in a matching tone. The glazed panel is fitted with clear fire-rated glass suited to a fire door.

As an FD30 door it is designed to be hung as a complete fire set rather than on its own: fitted into a fire-rated frame or lining, hung on fire-rated hinges, and fitted with an intumescent strip that expands in heat, usually alongside a cold smoke seal. Set up this way it is built to hold back fire and smoke for around 30 minutes.

It hangs on suitable fire-rated hinges and takes a lever handle, so you can match compatible ironmongery from our door handles and hardware.

It comes prefinished and ready to hang at the size ordered. As a fire door it is not intended to be trimmed on site, so choose the finished size you need rather than planning to cut it down. Our door treatments cover a suitable hardwax oil for minor touch-ups around the ironmongery, and the maintenance guide explains keeping the finish topped up.

To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for door orders and £25 for timber only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery page for more information.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
