DX30 1930's Style Oak Veneer Internal Door

This beautifully crafted 1930s-style interior door is a fine choice for a home that wants a cosy, traditional look, and is one of our 1930s doors. The design is elegant, with a full-width recessed panel in the top third and three recessed vertical panels below. The symmetrical one-over-three layout is an accurate representation of the Art Deco styling that became so fashionable in the 1930s, a classic, timeless design that adds warmth and character to any room.

The door is constructed from FSC-certified wood with an oak veneer surface for improved strength and durability, a robust technique that should give many years of service, well beyond its ten-year warranty. It has a standard 35mm thickness and comes in two heights and five widths, with an 8mm trim-down allowance on each of the four edges so it can match almost any door frame.

Add the finishing touch with our door handles, latches and hinges, and complete the look with matching solid oak frames, linings and architrave.

Supplied unfinished, so it is ready for your choice of finish. We recommend a suitable hardwax oil such as Treatex, available in natural tones from transparent through to dark, sealing the edges and any trimmed areas before you hang it.

The doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike; in addition to the natural qualities of the wood, this will also contribute to the door’s appearance. Is this door suitable for bathrooms or high-moisture areas?

It may be used in these areas only if the room is well ventilated and the door is fully protected on all edges before fitting. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or standing water.

What finish would you recommend on this door?

We recommend using a suitable hardwax oil to protect the door against the elements and everyday use. Most paints, stains and standard varnishes are unsuitable for this purpose and their use will most likely void the warranty.

Does this door come with a frame?

Door frames and linings are not included unless they are specifically listed in the product details. Compatible frames or linings should be ordered separately where required.

What is this door made from?

This is an oak veneer over a solid engineered core, not solid oak. The veneer gives the natural grain and warmth of oak, while the engineered core keeps the door stable.

Delivery Information

Because it’s important that our products get to you in perfect condition and on time, we only work with trusted, reliable delivery companies who have an excellent reputation. To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

Doors - £40.00* (this is per order, not per door)
Ironmongery and Oils - £15.00
Skirting, Architraves, Linings, Window boards and Furniture - £25.00

*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for door orders and £25 for timber only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery page for more information.

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
