All hand forged ironmongery has a beautiful deep appearance due to being hand finished with a bees wax. To maintain such an appearance, hand forged items need a certain level of upkeep. This maintenance wax helps to maintain and protect items whilst also preserving their longevity.

The maintenance wax is particularly important in damp rooms such as bathrooms, garages and utility rooms where moisture could cause door furniture to rust over time. Maintenance wax can also be used as a simple lubricant to keep hinges and handles operating as they should.
